PRN Medical Assistant Instructor (Adjunct)

Position Overview:
Advanced Care Training is seeking a motivated and reliable PRN Medical Assistant Instructor to support our hybrid Medical Assistant program. This role is ideal for a nurse or certified medical assistant who is passionate about training future healthcare professionals.

Our program is delivered in a hybrid format, combining online theory with in-person skills instruction.

This is a cohort-based adjunct position. Hours are assigned based on active enrollment, with consistent scheduling once a class begins.

Selected candidate is expected to begin with our July cohort.


Schedule Expectations:

  • Up to 20 hours per week based on class needs
  • Must be available for day and/or evening classes
  • Combination of virtual instruction and in-person lab/skills days
  • Schedule varies based on student enrollment and cohort needs

Compensation (Based on Experience):

  • Registered Nurse (RN): $35–$38 per hour
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/CCMA/RMA): $28–$32 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

  • RN (preferred) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/CCMA/RMA)
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience
  • Prior teaching or training experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to teach hands-on clinical skills
  • Comfortable with hybrid/online learning platforms
  • Ability to teach additional MA skill areas such as:
    • Phlebotomy
    • EKG
    • Front Office/Administrative Procedures
    • Medication Administration
  • Passion for student success and workforce development

Position Overview:
Advanced Care Training is seeking a dedicated and reliable CNA Instructor to teach our Saturday-only Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program. This role is ideal for a qualified nurse aide trainer who is passionate about educating and preparing students for success in the healthcare field.

Our CNA program includes classroom instruction, hands-on skills training, and clinical preparation in a supportive learning environment.

This is a cohort-based adjunct position. Once a class is assigned, hours are consistent for the duration of the program.

Selected candidate is expected to begin with an upcoming cohort.


Schedule Expectations:

  • Saturdays only – approximately 7 hours per week
  • 6-week program per cohort
  • Cohorts are typically scheduled:
    • February – March
    • May – June
    • August – September
    • November – December
  • Schedule is based on enrollment and program needs

Compensation:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with Nurse Aide Trainer (NAT) approval: Up to $40 per hour
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): up to $32 per hour 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active RN or LPN license in the state of Michigan
  • Nurse Aide Trainer (NAT) approval required (for RN applicants)
  • Prior experience teaching CNA students in both classroom and clinical settings
  • Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to teach and demonstrate hands-on clinical skills
  • Passion for student success and workforce development
  • Experience preparing students for state testing preferred
